Problem

In today’s increasingly digital society, many people experience loneliness and a lack of community connection. While local resources are available, limited awareness and access leave individuals without the support they need. Basic practical skills, like using tools, are becoming less common, and access to essential items such as a drill or car can be restricted by space or financial limitations. This makes everyday challenges harder to overcome without a strong community network. During crises, community strength is crucial. Authorities often base responses on estimated needs, but the community’s support often leads to a mismatch between supply and demand, causing resources to be underused while actual needs are unmet.

The Solution

Neighborly is a platform that allows people to request assistance for tasks both big and small, such as picking up groceries, helping with moving or drilling a frame into a wall. By offering an easy-to-use interface for making requests, we foster trust, build relationships, and create a more supportive community network. The platform helps authorities assess local needs more accurately, enabling them to prepare a more effective response. It also connects users to community centers and neighbors, strengthening relationships and helping people get to know those around them.
