Problem
Modern mobile games often rely on addictive mechanics like daily quests, gacha pulls with lootboxes, and FOMO-driven events to drive retention (Fear Of Missing Out), negatively impacting players' mental well-being. Hence, this approach prioritises profits over player' health, creating a cycle of compulsion rather than enjoyment
The Solution
We propose a "Healthy Retention Model" that rewards players for taking breaks. Drawing inspiration from idle games, where progression continues even when players are offline. Our design priorities long-term engagement through thoughtful content updates, milestone-based rewards, and play-at-your-pace mechanics. This model balances business growth with ethical player retention, fostering healthier player habits!
